Denotation & Connotation blog tasks: advert analysis

Create a new blogpost in your GCSE Media blog called 'Denotation and connotation'.

1) Write an analysis of the WaterAid advert above using denotation, connotation and analysis. What can you see? What are the deeper meanings in the advert? What does the advert communicate to the audience? How might an audience react after seeing the advert?

Denotation
the water aid ad shows he is uspet, and how they get treated. it also features the back round looking dry and disserted, in the (technical code) i also notice a big sign saying dig toilets not graves which suggests they are going through tragic things and they are struggling.

Connotation
this slogan is very plain withy no colour, that suggests they are sad and isnt excitement in the child's face and they are trying to look for help, This also shows that he wants clean water showing in the first aid showing blue and white.

Analysis
the deliberate choice of the dry back round could hint that they r suffering and it might show hes alone and his parents arent around, he might not be able anything.

2) Now choose your own choice of advert from Google images. Save it to your documents, insert it into your blogpost and write an analysis using denotation and connotation, explaining what the advert is communicating to the audience.

Denotation
the back round is 2 different shades of purple, and the chocolate is brown and its bitten, it also shows a phrase from the che chocolate,  The title contains white and gold.(symbolic) The chocolate also has the brand printed on it.

Connotation
the slogan is deliberately in white and gold because it represents the brand and blends . The gold represents luxury and rich, the purple represents tastiness.

Analysis
the deliberate choice
